TheUCMA (Union of Italian Manufacturers of Automatic Packaging and Wrapping Machines) Nominating Committee has selected Maurizio Bertocco, President and CEO of ILPRA, as the candidate for the presidency of the association for the four-year period 2026-2030.

The Board of Directors, which met on 15 April, expressed a favourable opinion on the presentation of the candidacy to the General Assembly, scheduled for 2 July 2026. It will be at that meeting that Bertocco’s official election will take place, thus confirming the handover from the current president, Riccardo Cavanna, who has led the association with authority and strategic vision during his term.

“Today, UCIMA is an internationally recognised benchmark for the packaging sector,” says Maurizio Bertocco. “Taking over from Riccardo Cavanna is an honour and a responsibility that I am tackling with great determination. My commitment will be to further strengthen the role of the association, supporting the competitiveness of member companies and guiding the sector through the challenges of technological innovation and sustainability, with the aim of continuing to increase the presence and prestige of Italian packaging worldwide“.
