The Ministry of Health has published the results of the official inspections carried out in 2024 on the feed supply chain as part of the National Animal Feed Plan (PNAA). 

Across the country, more than 8,200 inspections were reported at 7,856 operators, with 430 cases of non-compliance of varying degrees found, representing 5.21% of the total number of inspections. In relation to the non-conformities detected, 38 administrative penalties were imposed, representing 8.8% of the non-conformities detected, down from 2013, when the figure was 13%, and a complaint was reported to the Judicial Authorities.

Excluding activities outside the plan and those based on suspicion, 9,196 official feed samples were ultimately taken, compared with the 9,264 planned. Analyses carried out by the Official Laboratories of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes revealed 52 samples that did not comply with the requirements of the legislation, representing 0.56% of the total number of samples taken, down 0.2% on the previous year.
