From 29 September to 1 October 2027, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)conference “Safe Food, One Future” will be held in Parma, marking EFSA’s 25th anniversary and the launch of its new Strategy 2034.
During the event, the evolution and impact of the European Food Safety Authority will be reviewed, the results achieved will be shared, and there will be reflection on key collaborations with EU institutions, Member States and EFSA’s scientific community. It will also look at new opportunities and challenges for food safety and risk assessment, examining how to introduce innovation while protecting people, animals and the environment.
The detailed programme for the conference will be published on the EFSA website in December, and registration will open in January .
“Twenty-five years of science and cooperation have made our food safer; however, the future of food safety will depend on our ability to anticipate change, embrace innovation and collaborate. This conference is an opportunity to bring together science, ideas and people, thereby helping to shape the future,” said Nikolaus Kriz, Executive Director of EFSA.
