J-Software: excise duty in the beverage sector is 4.0

Share

J-Software has integrated Industry 4.0 technology into its cloud-based ERP systems, enabling them to communicate with any Industry 4.0–compatible production and packaging system

In beverage companies – wineries, breweries, distilleries, and liqueur producers – the management of production processes is increasingly closely linked to regulatory compliance. Each operational phase generates data that must feed into registers, declarations, and communications to the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture (MIPAAF). However, in many contexts, production and management systems still operate separately, with manual data entry and potential misalignments.

To overcome this limitation, J-Software has integrated Industry 4.0 technology into its telematic ERP systems, capable of interfacing with any production and packaging plant equipped for Industry 4.0.

The management system transmits production and packaging orders to the plants and automatically acquires the data returned by the machines, making it immediately available within management workflows. In addition, ready-to-use solutions for the most common bottling, canning, and kegging systems – including GAI, Emma, Cime Careddu, Bisaro, Comac, and Alfatek – help reduce implementation time and costs, while ensuring full regulatory compliance and maximum reliability of results. Data generated on the production line automatically feeds excise registers and declarations, transforming an administrative obligation into an integrated and continuous process.

«In the beverage sector, data must originate in production and automatically feed compliance requirements: only in this way can control, compliance, and operational efficiency be ensured», Marco Battaglia, Sole Director of J-Software.
