On 21 October, at the Quirinale Palace, Giacomo Ponti received the insignia of Knight of the Order “Al Merito del Lavoro” (For Merit in Labour) from the hands of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during the ceremony dedicated to the 25 entrepreneurs awarded the honour in 2026.

At the helm of Ponti, a historic Piedmontese company, Giacomo Ponti, who is also President of Federvini, represents an entrepreneurial tradition that has successfully combined a strong connection to the local area and a celebration of its roots with innovation, industrial development and a presence in international markets.

The ceremony, attended by the highest-ranking state officials, was also an opportunity to highlight the central role of business, work and human capital in the country’s economic and social development – themes emphasised by President Sergio Mattarella in his speech.
