IFM‘s PI1xxx pressure sensors meet the stringent requirements of the food industry. They are ideal for pressure measurement in tanks containing food-grade liquids and meet all common hygiene requirements: they are EHEDG and FDA approved, with IP69K protection, so daily high-pressure cleaning is never a problem.

The sensors use a capacitive ceramic measuring element and are therefore very robust. Abrasive or corrosive fluids, vacuum or pressure peaks cannot damage the sensor element, which can withstand even medium temperatures of 150°C. The fluid temperature can also be read via IO-Link. The PTFE seal, which requires no permanent maintenance, contributes to the sensors’ robustness.
