Piovan Food & Powders has developed OptiSieve, a centrifugal sieve that works with flow rates from 1 to 10 t/h, depending on the application

OptiSieve is the centrifugal sifter developed by Piovan Food & Powders for the technical screening of powdered ingredients and the breakup of small clumps before downstream stages.

The system operates either gravity-fed or in-line, on positive-pressure or vacuum pneumatic conveying lines, while keeping pressure losses low and process continuity high.

The sieving surface consists of an Aisi 304 basket, BA finish, 2 mm thick, with a minimum aperture of 1000 microns.

The internal mesh, in different weaves and perforated sheets, can be configured according to particle size and application.

The Aisi 304 or 316 construction in, with polished internal surfaces and hygienic design, supports inspection, cleaning and contamination control.

With capacities from 1 to 10 t/h depending on the application, the machine delivers compliant product directly to the next process stage and separates rejects through a dedicated front outlet.

The sieving element is sturdy and easy to remove, while the head-lid lifting system simplifies maintenance. The sieving is repeatable and compliant with CE, Moca and Atex requirements for external zone 22.
