For decades, AROL has been standing right where product and closure meet. With more than 25,000 capping machines installed worldwide, across wine, spirits, oil, soft drinks, home care and the chemical industry, this direct presence on the line, working alongside bottlers and fillers, has built an unparalleled expertise in one precise mission: finding the right solution for every capping challenge, whatever the cap, the container or the product.
On the other side of the cap, MACA and LAMFI have been working for years alongside closure manufacturers, designing and building the machines that give shape, structure and function to caps. Complete lines for aluminium closures, from the metal sheet to the finished cap; dedicated systems for plastic and multi-component closures; and more specific applications for complex products. Day after day, this means listening to cap producers, understanding their production constraints, their quality standards, their dimensional tolerances and performance targets.
An ecosystem connecting both sides of the closure
The AROL–MACA–LAMFI platform brings these two worlds together into a single ecosystem. By connecting closure manufacturing and capping application, it creates a continuous flow of know-how between those who produce caps and those who use them on their filling lines.
For bottlers and fillers, the ecosystem means having a single partner that can support them both on the application side and, through MACA and LAMFI, on the closure supplier side. The cap is no longer a fixed parameter to accept: it becomes a variable to work on together – geometry, materials, behaviour on high-speed lines, consumer opening experience. A consultancy-driven approach where application issues are not simply “managed” on the machine, but traced back, when needed, to the very design and production of the cap.
For closure manufacturers, the AROL–MACA–LAMFI platform is a true unicum on the world stage. It opens a direct window onto what really happens in the field: on high-speed capping lines, under real operating conditions, across different products and markets. Concrete feedback, translatable into real improvements on processes and machine configurations.
It is this ecosystem that transforms AROL, MACA and LAMFI from leading manufacturers into full-service consultants: on cap application and on cap production.
- Complete cap feeding line
AROL presents a complete cap feeding line, starting from the L-OVER system, designed to meet the growing demand for solutions that eliminate the need for elevated structures. This design simplifies maintenance and improves workplace safety.
The line includes a compact and advanced inspection system, where multiple image acquisition stations are managed simultaneously through a modern, intuitive interface. The control console can be freely positioned for maximum operator convenience.
Vision stations can be configured to meet specific inspection requirements, delivering highly effective image acquisition and seamless integration with production through advanced statistical analysis. Standard algorithms are complemented by powerful AI-based tools, ensuring robust, comprehensive, high-speed product control.
Gravity-fed caps are oriented and spaced by a vacuum conveyor belt and a timing star before entering the camera inspection system, ensuring quality and consistency. A Deduster, featuring the new Ion-Xcl ioniser, positioned just before the capping machine, removes over 99.99% of microplastics and fine particles, guaranteeing maximum product cleanliness and safety prior to capping.
- EQUATORQUE IQ EVO with robotic format changeover
Building on the success of the original EQUATORQUE with mechanical cam, the EQUATORQUE IQ EVO exceeds 100,000 bottles per hour with a fully servo-driven machine. Thanks to motors designed directly by AROL, EQUATORQUE IQ EVO features a Virtual Cam system that optimises the cam profile for every cap format, ensuring perfect synergy between machine, cap and container. This innovation allows seamless compatibility with a wide range of caps and bottles, reducing waste, limiting the need for dedicated machines and minimising non-reusable components.
- EURO PRO capping spindle
AROL introduces the new EURO PRO capping spindle, a universal solution designed to optimise mechanical transmission systems in capping machines.
Engineered for high performance and efficiency, the EURO PRO features an innovative anti-rotation system that eliminates the need for the traditional slide guide, significantly reducing assembly and setup time.
With PFAS-free H1 permanent lubrication, the spindle offers extended operational life while complying with current regulatory standards. The new EURO PRO guarantees up to 18,000 hours of operation between maintenance interventions, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
The fully retrofittable design allows easy upgrades to existing capping machines, making the transition fast and cost-effective. The result is higher productivity, lower lubricant consumption and up to 90% less maintenance-related costs, marking a significant step forward in capping technology for mechanical systems.
- MACA ITVE-MRR
The ITVE-MRR by MACA is the machine dedicated to cutting the tamper-evident band and folding the inner flap of plastic caps, used primarily for mineral water, soft drinks and milk.
Two versions to meet every production requirement: FAST, up to 72,000 pieces per hour, and SUPER FAST, up to 120,000 pieces per hour. Both stand out for their compact design, format changeover without gear replacement and native readiness for the integration of vision-based quality control systems.
An architecture designed for maximum operational flexibility, with a wide range of configurable options to meet specific line requirements.
AROL robotic solutions: intelligent automation for greater efficiency and flexibility
Robotic technology is a cornerstone of AROL’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. These solutions are designed to support and optimise the capping process by introducing flexibility, precision and automation where manual operations may be limited, inefficient or unfeasible.
AROL robotic systems allow seamless adaptation to different formats and production requirements, eliminating the need for manual adjustments and reducing format changeover times. The result is higher productivity, consistent quality and fewer interruptions in the production cycle.
Particularly valuable in complex or sensitive environments, such as those with limited space or strict hygiene requirements, these systems minimise human intervention in critical areas. The result is greater attention to sterility, less downtime and more stable operations over time.
Whether handling fragile components or managing transitions under demanding conditions, AROL robotic automation guarantees gentle and reliable performance. It is not just a technological evolution, but a strategic investment in operational excellence.
The AROL service ecosystem
