BioDtex lamp and NOVALUM II X bioluminometer: two allies for detecting the presence of biofilms and contamination in bottling plants and environments

Bottling lines produce thousands of bottles per hour; every hour that passes without detecting potential contamination means thousands of bottles that are potentially compromised.

The BioDtex lamp and the NOVALUM II X Bioluminometer are two valuable tools for immediately detecting the presence of biofilm and contamination hidden in bottling systems and environments.

The BioDtex® UV detection lamp makes the invisible visible and is the innovative solution that is changing the paradigm of biofilm detection: a portable, precision UV lamp developed by the British company BioScan Ltd that makes biofilm visible in real time, enabling targeted interventions and immediate verification of the effectiveness of sanitization procedures. For comprehensive hygiene monitoring, BioDtex integrates seamlessly with rapid swabs that are read using the Novalum II X bioluminometer. The BioDtex® UV lamp helps identify problem areas. The Pocketswab Plus swabs are used to assess the level of contamination.

In just 5 seconds, the Novalum II X bioluminometer detects the presence of ATP in the sample collected with the Pocketswab Plus swab and returns a quantitative value in RLU (Relative Light Units). The more light emitted, the higher the level of contamination.
