The R&G Group – which includes brands such as Robino & Galandrino (founded in 1964), Omar, Cames and TS Packaging – has built a reputation for specialization that has established it as a world leader in the application of capsules (in poly-laminate, aluminum, PVC, and large capsules for sparkling wines) and wirehoods.
The new 4.0 capping machine by Robino & Galandrino is the result of an approach that delivers an intelligent system designed to simplify, guide and support the operator in their daily work
Ergonomics becomes a fundamental design element, as does the reduction of non-ergonomic actions and truly intuitive human-machine interfaces. Motorized electronic adjustments and the reduction in the number of tools allow for quick, safe and repeatable format changes.
One of the most distinctive features of Robino & Galandrino’s solutions is the integration of machine vision as an objective inspection tool. No longer just visual inspection, but intelligent interpretation of details. The patented systems enable the bottle to be oriented and aligned with the wirehoods and cap, recognizing painted marks of various colors, glass joints, marks printed using UV technology, raised and recessed patterns, screen-printed logos and text, raised applied shapes, images on sleeves, painted images or logos, and marks on the base of the bottle. Quality is no longer left to subjective perception, but is measured through precise and repeatable tolerances.
