Reliable components for capping systems

To minimise wear, an Italian manufacturer has opted for KR-PP idler pins, featuring an INA-optimised profile on the outer surface, from Schaeffler’s “Guide Motion” range

A perfect blend of tradition and innovation, the ‘Guide Motion’ range forms the backbone of Schaeffler’s linear and rotary solutions. Combining the technological excellence of INA and FAG, these components stand out for their reliability and extreme precision. Thanks to their outstanding technical specifications, they remain the benchmark for the food industry, where capping machines must operate reliably 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, under demanding conditions and in compliance with strict hygiene standards.

To minimise wear, an Italian manufacturer opted for KR-PP idler pins with an optimised INA profile on the outer surface. The protected lip seals prevent lubricant leakage and the ingress of particles, thus ensuring reliable protection of the bearings against contamination and extending their service life. These ready-to-fit bearings are fitted with particularly robust outer rings with a convex or cylindrical outer surface. They are easily mounted using pins or integrated pins and run on flat or curved raceways. They are suitable for absorbing high radial loads and withstanding axial loads resulting from angular misalignment, misalignment or shocks caused by rapid start-up.

Rollers, ball rollers and idler pins are available in various designs for use in cam mechanisms, support shafts, linear guides and conveyor systems. They are characterised by particularly robust outer rings. In terms of construction, these are self-retaining ball bearings, available with single or double rows of balls. Ball idler pins are manufactured with outer rings featuring a convex surface, solid pins and ball rings with plastic cages. Support rollers are special needle roller or cylindrical roller bearings with two or more rows, fitted with a thick-walled, profiled steel outer ring. They are suitable for transmitting high radial loads. Roller idlers, which are quite similar in design, differ mainly in the presence of pins with a fixing thread.
