The synergy between Conserve Italia and Verallia Italia has continued for over 30 years, driven by a shared vision and common goals. This journey has recently entered a new chapter with the launch of the new line of carbonated beverages Derby Blue Frutta Frizzante.

At the center of the project is the distinctive cobalt blue glass, an iconic element of the unconventional fruit brand Derby Blue, which for the first time is being applied to the 200 ml Tropical format, traditionally transparent and designed for this type of fruit beverage. The result is a distinctive and highly recognizable product on store shelves. Behind this achievement lies a long-established synergy that guarantees continuity and production efficiency on one side, and high quality standards on the other. In fact, blue glass is not simply a distinctive visual and identity-related element, but also a choice that supports environmental sustainability and product quality.

Made with high percentages of external recycled material (71% external cullet*), the blue glass helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. In addition, it protects the contents inside the bottles from light, preserving product quality and strengthening the overall value of the offering. It is no coincidence that the collaboration between the two companies extends across Conserve Italia’s portfolio of brands (Cirio, Yoga, Derby Blue, Valfrutta, Jolly Colombani), confirming the strategic role of glass packaging as a driver of innovation, sustainability, and market positioning. A shared path that continues to evolve with the aim of developing increasingly recognizable and responsible solutions.

«Sustainability represents a fundamental strategic lever for Conserve Italia and guides our industrial and investment choices – says Andrea Colombo -. With the development plan we have launched, by the end of 2027 we aim to reach the milestone of 93,500 tons of CO₂ saved over 9 years, equivalent to offsetting the annual emissions of a city with 17,000 inhabitants. In this journey, packaging plays a central role, and therefore glass as a recyclable material is equally important.
