As part of a major technological upgrade plan, Acqua Smeraldina entrusted BBM Service with the dismantling of its PET bottling line. The operation was completed in only seven days and required complex logistics to ship the machinery overseas from the Gallura facility to BBM’s headquarters in Bergamo.

The project was preceded by a detailed technical mapping phase and photographic cataloging, essential to ensure the integrity of every component during transport. Coordination between six specialized BBM technicians and the plant’s staff made it possible to meet a very tight schedule. Logistics included the use of special transport for oversized loads and custom protective packaging for each unit, as well as full backup of the software programs to preserve the machines’ configurations.

A key aspect of the project concerned the end-of-life management of the line. The machines were not scrapped but destined for refurbishment. Once in Lenna, the components underwent inspection and overhaul processes to prepare them for a new operational life.

The project was completed with the disposal of waste materials in compliance with current environmental regulations (CER codes), closing the operational cycle in line with the client’s industrial sustainability requirements.
