This innovation, in line with Verallia&#8217;s mission &#8220;<strong>Rethinking glass to build a sustainable future<\/strong>&#8220;, responds to the growing demand for premium packaging that combines exceptional design with a reduced carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on the experience gained with the lightweight Ecova range, created in 2009, and the ultra-light Verallia Air range developed in 2023, Verallia is now applying its eco-design principles to the premium Selective Line brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-780x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-233763\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-780x1024.jpg 780w, https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-229x300.jpg 229w, https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-768x1008.jpg 768w, https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-1170x1536.jpg 1170w, https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-1560x2048.jpg 1560w, https:\/\/static.tecnichenuove.it\/alimentibevande\/2026\/02\/Dark-wine-picture-without-text-1-scaled.jpg 1951w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Three levers for optimized impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Selective Line Balance range <\/strong>is based on three eco-design levers, applicable individually or in combination:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Lightweight<\/strong>: Premium bottles weighing an average of 15% less than the entire Selective Line portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Recycled glass:<\/strong> colors that incorporate higher percentages of recycled glass, such as the new Craft Spirits collection in amber (up to 76% external cullet in France) or the new wine bottles in dark colors, which contain over 85% cullet in all European countries where we produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Low-carbon production<\/strong>: some products are produced in the first 100% electric furnace in Cognac (France), with a 60% reduction in CO\u2082 emissions for scopes 1 and 2, as well as in the first hybrid furnace in Zaragoza (Spain), which allows for a reduction of approximately 50% for scopes 1 and 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A wide range of premium bottles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With <strong>over 100 products<\/strong>, the Balance range combines new creations with iconic Selective Line designs.
